When addiction has stolen
a loved one.

When alcohol, drugs or other addictions have hijacked a loved one. When the way out doesn't feel reachable. When you just can't find hope anymore.

Then an invitational Intervention can be a very wise way forward. Free from shame and guilt with the whole family and/or network as a driving force. Based on love, care and respect, you will find a path to sobriety and happiness.

No one is alone.

An Invitational Intervention is a scientifically based method, originating in the USA, designed for families and networks who wish to help a loved one overcome addiction.

Unlike the old approach, Invitational Interventions aim to involve the individual with the addiction right from the start. This is because motivation to participate and engage increases significantly when the person does not feel tricked, deceived, or unexpectedly confronted.

During the process, overarching family patterns and challenges that may contribute to the addiction are also identified. These issues are addressed as part of the process so that the family can work together to find a happy and sustainable path to sobriety.

What does Invitational Intervention mean?

Support from family and friends –
the key to long-term sobriety.

90%

increased chance of accepting help

According to research from the American Psychological Association, the likelihood that an addicted person will seek treatment increases by over 90% after a structured intervention carried out by a professional team.

70%

of Invitational Interventions result in treatment

A study published in the "Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment" shows that over 70% of those who participate in an intervention start treatment immediately after, especially if the intervention is led by an experienced interventionist.

50%

increased chance of long-term sobriety

Research from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) shows that family-supported intervention can increase the likelihood of the individual staying sober by up to 50%, compared to going through treatment without social support.

About the Interventionist Camilla Kuylenstierna

Camilla-Kuylenstierna.jpg

The disease of addiction is one of the most stigmatized and harmful diseases in our society, often associated with shame and guilt. Unfortunately, this leads to us not talking about the disease as much as we should, which means that many sufferers do not get the help they need - neither the addicts themselves nor their loved ones. This has serious consequences, such as emotional ill health, financial problems, inefficiency in the workplace, and tragic events such as violence and accidents.

My goal is to counteract the disease of addiction and help both the affected and their relatives to take responsibility, through respect, integrity, love and compassion. Together we can make a difference and create a better future.

Therefore, since 2011, I, Camilla Kuylenstierna, have worked as a certified ARISE interventionist (CAI), where I have had the privilege of helping people overcome addiction. My journey began back in 2007 when I lived and worked in the USA. As a sober alcoholic since 2005, I had the opportunity to discover the deep knowledge and expertise that exists around alcohol addiction, including interventions.
